Manveen Rana, Senior Editor, The Times
Manveen Rana is a distinguished British investigative journalist and broadcaster. She currently serves as the host of the flagship daily podcast “The Story” (formerly “Stories of our times”) for The Times and The Sunday Times, having also hosted the Times Radio podcast Stories of our times since March 2020.
Before joining the News UK titles in 2020, Rana spent nearly 17 years at the BBC, where she held various roles including reporter for the BBC Radio 4 Today programme and senior broadcast journalist. Her career is marked by high-profile investigations, such as uncovering the links between Bell Pottinger and the Gupta family in South Africa, and exposing sexual misconduct allegations within Save the Children.
Rana, who holds a degree in Politics and Economics from Durham University and served as President of the Durham Union Society, also gained acclaim for her 2015 report on the Dhnie family, documenting a Syrian refugee family’s journey across Europe.
