Secretary General, Ministry of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic
He is a senior legal professional with long-standing experience in public administration, healthcare governance and national defence. He currently serves as Legal Advisor to the National Organisation for Healthcare Services Provision (EOPYY), a role he has held since 2005.
He has been practising law since 1987 before the Supreme Civil and Criminal Court and the Council of State, and is a member of the Thessaloniki Bar Association. His professional career includes service as attorney and administrative advisor at the Bank of Athens, as well as legal advisory work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on matters related to the repatriation of expatriate Greeks.
From 2012 to 2015, he held senior executive positions at the Ministry of National Defence, initially as Special Secretary and subsequently as General Secretary. He has also served on the boards of major public institutions, including healthcare and training organisations, holding vice-chair and board member positions.
He is a graduate of the German School of Thessaloniki and the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with additional legal studies at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität of Heidelberg. He completed his military service in the Hellenic Air Force.
In recognition of his contribution to national defence, he has been awarded the Star for Merit and Honour and the Golden Star for Merit and Honour (First Class) by the Ministry of National Defence.
